L64 Design – Northern Architecture

Award-winning architect David Hayden has worked nearly two decades in Fairbanks, developing a style perhaps best described as “northern arboreal industrial” – a mix of modern materials and contemporary forms that reflects Alaska’s unique light and landscape.

Hayden has designed more than 60 buildings throughout Fairbanks and Alaska.  He designed the Birch Hill Ski lodge, the Wood Center entrance at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and the Haines Ferry Terminal. He specializes in residences that include the ABC Extreme Makeover Home in North Pole.  He has been an advocate for the Vision Fairbanks and is a board member of the Alaska Design Forum.
